I always jump at the chance to create illustrations for our client projects at Position, so when the opportunity came up to create them for our own branding and website I was mega thrilled. We love the light-hearted and whimsical way they introduce narrative of Insight articles and bring the brand to life. See them in the wild at helloposition.com

A website was born from the pandemic, That Stuck At Home Life was spearheaded by Position, a Sacramento-Based Design and Marketing Agency. It offered 30 days of inspiring activities to help people stay healthy and active at home and support businesses in our community when possible. I illustrated for two of the days/activities. Can you guess what they were? See all illustrations at thatstuckathomelife.com
Comstock’s is the premier monthly business publication in California’s Capital Region. I’ve illustrated four of their issues, including a cover issue. I’ve always loved the power editorial illustration has to convey complex emotional concepts.

And the award for favorite client goes to….Meikle Family Vineyards! The client had the idea to create a different “mascot” for each of their varietals. So, a series of illustrations were created to showcase this tasty lineup.

Cheers to beer can illustrations! I have been loving my illustrative collaborations with Break Even Beermakers, and Creative Studio, Different Beast, both Amador County outposts. These are the final illustrations for their Bluebelly Pale Ale label design and Poppy Pedal event poster, Break Even’s annual spring ride-about.

For 3 of their performances my twin sister, Melissa, and I have been lucky enough to be collaborators with Capital Dance Project’s annual “Behind the Barre.” For this performance , 10 local artists are paired with 10 CDP choreographers to create a unique artistic ballet experience. We were selected to collaborate with choreographer Rex Wheeler in 2019, Kaori Higashiyama in 2021, and Frances Chae in 2022.
Gig posters were my gateway into the world of design. I love the process of listening to a song or album and pulling out abstract themes, symbols and moods…and coming up with a visual representation of them!
I’ve been really enjoying adding animation to my illustration work. I feel it brings them to life and adds another fun level of engagement for the audience. This was a holiday email campaign for Visit California, showcasing all of their wonderful accomplishments for the year!

As part of the annual Wide Open Walls mural festival, 10 artists were selected to paint a letter in the word “CALIFORNIA.” I was asked to paint the letter “I.” This mural is on the exterior of the California Automobile Museum in Downtown Sacramento.
Since the client wanted their website to feel young and modern, it made sense to begin homepage concepts with a mobile-centric design. I brought in custom illustration to give each product in Puff’s line it’s own unique “flavor” and character.

Logo design can be tricky, because you are creating a mark that really has to perform and communicate so much. I find that illustration is a really successful tool in bringing character and personality into a logo, making it memorable.
To brand their new housing development in East Sacramento, the team behind Sutter Park sought to build a brand which showcased the uniqueness of the community. Once a collection of small farms, orchards and dairies, East Sacramento has grown to become one of the most coveted neighborhoods of Sacramento. With a rich history of community and architecture, it is important when building a brand that the city’s heritage not be forgotten. A delicate balance demanding the careful consideration of historical charm and modern elegance must be defined. Building the brand around key characteristics and tone, we worked to establish an overall style that will create a harmony between old and new.

To Celebrate their 70th Anniversary and highlight their decades of service, this campaign was developed for the Junior League of Sacramento Gala. Beautiful archival images add to the success of this piece and the typography and illustration showcase the sophistication of the event and of the women involved in the organization.

I’m a sucker for metallic foils! When better to use them than when branding for a fancy event? When designing for Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner and Business Awards, a sophisticated color palette, expressive watercolor texture, and a copper foil process were used to match the elegance of the event.

Nothing more exciting than starting a project from scratch— I really enjoyed creating logo, branding, and package design for my wonderful Alaskan clients!
